Perhaps Cablinasian

It's been said that non-Asian people think all Asian people look the same. It's also been said that Asian people look different to other Asian people--so much so that Asians can identify what country other Asians are from. Got it?

So, apparently my face is a quandry for other Asians. Over the past week, I've been identified as:

• Chinese
• Korean (the clubhouse leader)
• Japanese (when I told one woman I was Japanese, she said, "I knew it!!!")
• a foreigner, not be confused with the band Foreigner. I believe this was more related to my inability to speak Chinese to the driver.
• really white (my skin that is. Although this topic could be an entire subject by iteself)

The point of this post, if anyone tells you that they can identify Asians, bet them on it. Show them a pic of my mug and take their money. Please don't use the picture of me in the yellow smock.
